Where to Eat in Panama City Beach by Occasion and Sub-Region

Best fit, poor fit

Good fit if: you want beachfront seafood you can walk to straight off the sand without changing clothes; you are happy to eat around a published-hours table rather than guess; you want one walkable district where a group with six different opinions can all be fed; you are willing to phone a venue whose hours nobody publishes; or you want a marina seafood house of nearly sixty years and will plan the rest of your evening around its opening time.

Poor fit if: you need a confirmed Sunday dinner at the flagship seafood house (it is closed Sunday and takes no reservations at all); you are booking a beachfront anniversary dinner at the region best-documented fine-dining room (it is not beachfront and its operator site has never loaded for us); you want a guaranteed off-season meal at the beachfront tiki venue (it is seasonal and nobody publishes the season); or your trip is built around the West End, where our evidence runs out fastest.

Where to eat, by need

The short version, before the tables. Every line here is expanded and sourced further down.

• Marina seafood, and the single most-documented room in the region: Capt Andersons, 5551 N Lagoon Dr. Monday to Saturday from 4 p.m., closed Sunday, and it accepts no dinner reservations at all.
• Straight off the sand, no changing: Pineapple Willys, 9875 S Thomas Dr, daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., or Harpoon Harrys, 12627 Front Beach Rd, daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Oysters: Shuckums, 15614 Front Beach Rd, seven days 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. since 1967, or Dustys Oyster Bar, 16450 Front Beach Rd, daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• A group that cannot agree: Pier Park, 600 Pier Park Dr — nineteen dining tenants confirmed on the landlords own directory, walkable from each other.
• Breakfast: Andys Flour Power Cafe and Bakery, 2629 Thomas Dr, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., with live jazz 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at weekend brunch.
• Independent coffee: Techspresso, 7948 Front Beach Rd, veteran and locally owned since 2022.
• Late: Saltwater Grill, 11040 Hutchison Blvd, closes at 11 p.m. or later every day of the week and runs to 1 a.m. on Friday.
• Sunset theatre: Schooners, 5121 Gulf Dr, which fires a cannon at sunset every night, rain or shine, and opens daily at 11 a.m. Its closing time is unpublishable here and the reason is in its own section below.

The occasion matrix, with a confidence tier on every row

How to read the tiers. (a) confirmed on the operators own website, which we opened and read. (b) confirmed on an official tourism board page or on the shopping-centre landlords own page. (c) a business-association membership directory names it and gives an address, and nothing further has ever been checked — never treat a tier (c) name as confirmed open.

Where a row carries a caveat in the note column, the caveat is the point of the row, not a footnote to it.

Two traps to clear before any restaurant is named

Trap one is jurisdiction. Several of the flagship Panama City Beach seafood houses are not in Panama City Beach. Capt Andersons and The Grand Marlin among them sit in the unincorporated Bay County pocket of Upper Grand Lagoon, ZIP 32408, along the N Lagoon Drive corridor. Their own marketing calls the address Panama City Beach; postal and registration records say Panama City FL 32408. Both are true at once, and neither is an error to be corrected against the other. It matters the moment a question turns on ordinances, taxes or which office to call, because the answer is Bay County rather than the City of Panama City Beach.

Trap two is that directories are broader than geography. Local business-association membership directories list members well outside the region their name implies. The West End directory carries a beachfront tiki venue at 15201 Front Beach Rd and an oyster bar at 16450 Front Beach Rd, both of which sit well east of Camp Helen and Lake Powell and read by street address as Middle Beach or the Pier Park edge. Membership is not location. A directory is telling you who pays dues, not where a kitchen stands.

A third trap is narrower but catches people typing an address into a map. Middle Beach Road is a local name for Hutchison Boulevard, an inland connector at the east end of the beach. Middle Beach is a tourism-board marketing area covering a stretch of Front Beach Road further west. They are different places with almost the same name, and a restaurant on Middle Beach Road is not in Middle Beach. This page names the street or the area explicitly every time and never uses the bare phrase.

One scope rule closes the set. This page covers Panama City Beach, the peninsula. It is never merged with the mainland City of Panama City roster across the Hathaway Bridge, which is a different municipality with a different set of restaurants. One breakfast-and-bakery brand has a location on each side, and only the mainland one carries a question over its status.

The late-night correction, and why it is the headline

This is the single most important thing on the page, because the error it corrects would have changed a reader plan. Our fact base once carried the sentence that not one restaurant in the research had been confirmed to serve past 10 p.m., with one venue on Fridays as the sole exception. It is recorded as false, and the correction is sourced on two operator sites we opened and read.

Harpoon Harrys, 12627 Front Beach Rd, publishes open daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on its own front page. That is seven nights a week to 11 p.m., not one. Saltwater Grill, 11040 Hutchison Blvd, publishes Monday to Thursday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. for brunch. That is a close of 11 p.m. or later on all seven days, and the Friday 1 a.m. is the latest published close found anywhere in our research. The correct count is at least two venues and fourteen venue-nights, against a published claim of zero.

Now the scoping, because a true statement about the whole coast is not a true statement about the stretch of sand outside your building. Both venues that clear 10 p.m. carry Middle Beach addresses in our fact base. Among the venues filed to Open Sands, the latest close we can confirm is 10 p.m., at Shuckums on Front Beach Road — and Shuckums itself sits on the Middle Beach and Open Sands border, so even that line is soft. The boundary between those two marketing areas is not published by anybody; the address range our research uses for Open Sands is our own inference from clustering, and it is carried as open verification debt with this record rather than treated as a fact.

Two limits on the correction, stated plainly. What an operator publishes is not the same as what a kitchen actually serves at 10.45 p.m., and nobody has verified the difference. And the seasonal half of the question is untouched: what serves late in July and what serves late in January may not be the same list, and no source addresses it. If a late meal is load-bearing for your evening, ring the venue.

Published hours, in full

Every figure in this table comes from the venue own website, except the two rows explicitly marked as coming from the shopping-centre landlord. Nothing here is estimated, rounded or inferred from what a category of business usually does. Where a venue publishes nothing, the row says so rather than filling the gap.

Grand Lagoon — the marina district, and the corridor behind it

Grand Lagoon is a marina and canal district rather than a walkable beach strip, and driving is required for essentially everything in it. Most Gulf-side lodging is a drive or a rideshare away. No distance and no drive time is published on this page because none was verified.

Capt Andersons Restaurant and Waterfront Market, 5551 N Lagoon Dr, is the most thoroughly documented room in the region. The operator states it has been there since 1967, that it is celebrating its fifty-ninth anniversary in 2026, and that it serves over 250,000 guests during an eleven-month season. It opens Monday to Saturday at 4 p.m. and is closed Sunday, and it states outright that it does not accept dinner reservations. Two things follow that a page which leads with the flagship framing tends to bury. There is no Sunday option, so a Sunday lunch recommendation here is a recommendation to stand in front of a locked door. And with no reservations at all, the plan is to arrive early and expect a wait.

Two gaps travel with it. The eleven-month season means there is one month a year when this recommendation fails completely, and no source names the month. And its own about page states the restaurant has grown to 725 seats, which is total seating and not private-event capacity; no private-event figure is published here because the room capacities and any combined configuration were never settled. Its number is 850-234-2225.

The Grand Marlin is a seafood and oyster bar whose North Drop Bar overlooks Grand Lagoon, which makes it bay side rather than Gulf side. It runs Monday to Saturday 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Sunday brunch 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday dinner 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the North Drop Bar open straight through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It states that it prints its menus daily to take advantage of the local catch, which is the closest thing to a verified freshness claim anywhere in our dining research. It books through OpenTable on 850-249-1500. Its street address is in our fact base but is on no operator page we ever opened, so it is not printed here.

Pineapple Willys, 9875 South Thomas Drive, is a border case claimed by both the Grand Lagoon directory and a tourism-board region page, and this page records the dual claim rather than picking a side. It is a beach bar and barbecue house standing on the site of the original Panama City Beach pier, a Panama City Beach original since 1984, Gulf side because it is built on that old pier, open daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., taking no reservations, with live music and events. Its number is 850-235-0928. Whether it publishes a kids menu was never confirmed, and the absence of a mention is not the absence of a kids menu.

Andys Flour Power Cafe and Bakery, 2629 Thomas Drive, is the strongest documented bakery and coffee claim on the corridor. Breakfast runs 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday, lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and weekend brunch 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with live jazz 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days. Its number is 850-230-0014. A warning travels with the name every time it is printed: our fact base records a second location on FL-77 on the mainland, and what the operator site actually supports is an absence rather than a closure. The operator names exactly one location, this one, and names no mainland store and publishes no closure notice. That is a real finding and it is not a closure date. No closure date appears on this page because no source states one.

Schooners, 5121 Gulf Drive, sits at the Thomas Drive end by address and carries the Upper Grand Lagoon ZIP, but markets itself as a Gulf strip beach club — so it is a border case, flagged rather than forced into a bucket. It fires the old cannon at sunset every night, rain or shine, and opens daily at 11 a.m. Its number is 850-235-3555. Its closing time is the one figure this page will not give you, and the reason is in the unresolved section below.

The Thomas Drive call list, and why nineteen names are not on this page

Our fact base holds nineteen further food-and-drink businesses along the Thomas Drive corridor, every one of them from a single source: one business-association membership directory. Only their existence and their street address are supported by it. No hours, no closure day and no current operating status was independently verified for any of them.

They are leads, not facts, and the rule attached to them is that none may appear in visitor-facing copy until it has been confirmed individually by phone. That rule is why you will not find the names here. It was written after this project carried a business forward as open because a directory still listed it — a claim the directory was never making — and that case is still unresolved today, several sections below.

Three specific problems inside that list are worth knowing even without the names. One name in it could not be found in the directory at all when the directory was re-fetched, so either it was removed or it was never there. Two different businesses are given the same street address by the same directory, which means one has moved, or one is a market attached to the other, or the directory has an error. And a fourth name appears in two different region directories under a ZIP that belongs to a different sub-region entirely. The directory as re-fetched also carries twenty-four food-and-drink businesses rather than nineteen, so two further names exist that our fact base has never seen.

One useful thing the directory does supply is corroboration of the jurisdiction trap: it renders a dozen of these Thomas Drive addresses as Panama City FL 32408 rather than Panama City Beach, which is exactly the split described at the top of this page, showing up inside the source itself.

Pier Park — the answer for a group that cannot agree

Pier Park is an open-air lifestyle shopping centre at 600 Pier Park Drive, run by a national landlord, and it is the strongest answer in Panama City Beach for a group that wants different cuisines in one walkable place. That is the claim to lead with, and the reason is the spread inside a few blocks: a steakhouse, Italian, two Mexican options, Japanese hibachi and sushi, barbecue, and three seafood rooms on the section the landlord calls the Boardwalk. It is the one place on this coast where nobody in the party has to be outvoted.

Nineteen dining tenants are confirmed on the landlords own dining directory, which is the single strongest roster verification in our whole dining research — nineteen names checked against the source, nineteen found. Among them: Angry Tuna Seafood Company, Back Porch Seafood and Oyster House, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Dave and Busters, Dickeys Barbecue Pit, Dicks Last Resort, Five Guys, Fords Garage, Great White Pizza, Longhorn Steakhouse, Margaritaville, Nathans Famous, New York Pizza and Grill, Olive Garden, Osaka Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse and Sushi Bar, Pompano Joes, Red Robin and San Marcos Mexican Grill. The landlord describes Back Porch as a local favourite since 1979.

Two honest limits on that roster. It is confirmed but incomplete — the landlords own pages name further food tenants that our fact base does not carry, including a coffee brand, a sandwich chain and a dinner show — so nothing here says or implies that the list above is all of Pier Park dining. And a set of counter-service names that circulates as tourism-board-sourced is only partly so: four of nine were found on the page they are attributed to and five were not. None of those five is presented here as a confirmed tenant.

The hours problem is absolute and it is worth stating before anybody plans a late arrival. The published hours for the centre are Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and those are the retail core only. Restaurants there generally keep longer independent hours. Not one individual tenant hour was verified in our research, so no restaurant in this section is given an opening or closing time anywhere on this page. Ring the centre on 850-236-9962 or the restaurant directly.

One siting correction. The Margaritaville at Pier Park is the restaurant, and the landlord places it on the Boardwalk next to Back Porch, not inside an enclosed mall — Pier Park is open-air and there is no enclosed mall in Panama City Beach at all. The same name also attaches to a separate retail store the landlord lists as a distinct tenant, so the name covers at least two things here rather than one, and neither should be confused with a resort of the same brand.

Two approaches reach the centre. The landlord describes it as running along the highway that carries three names locally, and separately says it can also be accessed via Front Beach Road. Copy that names only one of those two approaches sends a reader past the other. Whether the three highway names are genuinely one road is an open item on this record and no road designation is printed here.

There is also a restaurant on the Russell-Fields City Pier at Pier Park whose status this page will not give you. It closed after an electrical fire in 2024, was mid-demolition and rebuild as of July 2025, and carried a Spring 2026 reopening target that has now elapsed with nothing confirming it either way. An elapsed forecast is not a status. It is not described as open here and it is not described as closed.

Open Sands and Middle Beach — the beachfront strip

This is where the beachfront eating happens, and where most of the operator-confirmed hours in the region live. The tourism board calls Open Sands centrally located and a convenient starting point for a trip. It does not say what Open Sands sits between, and neither does this page — two compass errors have already been caught on this project and no source establishes which named areas border it. Middle Beach, on the tourism boards own wording, starts on the east where Middle Beach Road branches north from Front Beach Road, and it is historically the original Long Beach family strip. That history is the framing worth leading with.

Harpoon Harrys Beachfront Restaurant, 12627 Front Beach Rd, is Gulf-side beachfront and open daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on its own site, with a World Famous Seafood Bucket, a Monster Burger it calls the biggest on the beach, and a live beach cam. It books through OpenTable and takes online orders through Toast, on 850-234-6060. Its ZIP is on no page we read and is not printed. Whether it has a weekly closure day is not addressed by any source.

Saltwater Grill, 11040 Hutchison Boulevard, is upscale seafood, sushi and steak with a tropical saltwater aquarium in the dining room. It is on the street locally called Middle Beach Road, which runs inland between Thomas Drive and the Gulf strip — so treat it as a short drive from the sand and never as walkable, and do not book it as a beachfront anniversary dinner, because that is not what it is. Hours are Monday to Thursday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. for brunch, with no day listed as closed. It books through OpenTable. The operator publishes one number, 850-230-2896; a second number circulates on no citable source at all and must not be dialled or printed.

Shuckums Oyster Pub and Seafood Grill, 15614 Front Beach Rd, sits on the Middle Beach and Open Sands border and is one of the very few entries in this whole region where the hours and the closure answer both come from the operator: seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with no closed day and no seasonal closure stated, on this site since 1967, and karaoke every night from 5 p.m. Its number is 850-235-3214. It states no reservation policy — probably walk-in is not a publishable fact — and no kids menu is confirmed for it either way.

Runaway Island, 14521 Front Beach Rd, is a Gulf-front two-storey bar and grill with a deck onto the sand. Its confirmed facts are a kids menu, weekend opening early at 10 a.m., and rotating weekend lunch specials on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The dollar figure that circulates for those specials is on no page and is not printed. It carries a booking link to Zomato, which is a third platform beyond the two the rest of the region uses, and whether that link is live and honoured is unconfirmed. Its number is 850-634-4884. It publishes no daily hours, so it has no closing time on this page.

Dustys Oyster Bar, 16450 Front Beach Rd, publishes its address, daily hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and a phone number, 850-233-0035, on its own site, and is named on the tourism boards restaurants page. It is claimed by the West End directory despite an address just west of Pier Park, and which sub-region a page should file it under is genuinely unresolved.

Firefly, at the Shops at Edgewater, is the clearest fine-dining claim in Panama City Beach and simultaneously the least verified venue in this section. Two different tourism-board region pages name it, which is a duplication this page records rather than hides. Beyond the name, almost nothing survives contact with a source: its operator site returned a refusal on every path ever tried, so its street address, its hours, its weekly closure day and its own description of its cuisine have no operator page behind them and none of them is printed here as fact. Our fact base records that it books through Resy rather than through an older listing on a different platform that may be stale, but that confirmation cannot currently be reproduced. Ring 850-249-3359 before you build an anniversary around it.

The West End — the thinnest dining coverage on the corridor

Say this plainly rather than padding it: the West End has the thinnest dining evidence anywhere on this coast, and this section is short because the sources are, not because the writing ran out. The tourism board calls the region the quieter side, a quiet stretch of beach with few high-rise buildings and quaint communities dotting the beaches. That is its own characterisation and it is the line to lead with. Driving is required for essentially all of it.

Three dining names come from the tourism boards own West End page and are the only names in the region with that grade. Back Beach Barbecue serves meats slow cooked for twelve hours over two wood-fired pits outside, which is a genuine alternative in a region whose dining reads as one long seafood list; its street address and its hours are on no page we read and neither is printed. Our Little Beach Cafe, at Carillon Market Street, serves coffee, breakfast and lunch; no hours and no seasonal closure are published for it. The Lake House at Carillon Beach, also at Carillon Market Street, offers dinner and live entertainment.

The Lake House carries an access trap that has nothing to do with its address. Carillon Beach is a private gated residential community and its beach is not publicly accessible. Carillon Market Street is understood to be the adjacent commercial strip rather than the gated residential interior — understood, not verified. Nothing on this page asserts that the public can simply drive in, because the failure mode is a reader with a dinner reservation stopped at a gate house.

Thomas Donut and Snack Shop, 19208 Front Beach Rd, publishes seven days a week 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on its own site, with no closed day and no seasonal closure stated. Three different closing figures circulate: the operators 3 p.m., a fetched third-party listing showing 10 p.m., and a 24-hour claim that appears on no page anybody has opened. There is also an unsourced Wednesday-closure claim. The operator figure is the one this page uses and it is the only one on a page that loaded, and the conflict is recorded rather than quietly reconciled. The phone number in circulation for it is unverified and is not printed; take the number from its own site.

Beyond those, our fact base holds six further West End businesses whose only source is a membership directory that returned a refusal on every attempt, including its listing for the venue flagged as closed for renovation. Not one of those claims has a readable source behind it, so not one of those names appears here. That is the honest shape of West End dining coverage and it is why this section is the shortest on the page.

One closing note, and it is a near-negative rather than a negative. Camp Helen State Park names no restaurant, cafe, concession or food service in the amenity list published for it — but a source that omits food service is not a source that denies it, and the park authority own site has refused this project throughout. Do not plan to eat inside the park, and do not read that as a confirmed fact that you cannot.

Addresses, ZIPs and what they actually tell you

Only addresses published by the operator appear in the first column. Where our fact base holds an address that no operator page ever carried, the row says so and prints nothing, because an address is exactly the kind of fact that reads harmlessly and sends somebody to the wrong building.

Reservations — four platforms, and the places that take none

Booking here is more fragmented than a single-platform region, and one of the corrections behind this page was the discovery that four different venues run four different booking arrangements while a fifth was being described as the only one with a modern platform. The table is what each operator publishes on its own site.

The practical reading: the two most sought-after seafood rooms on the Grand Lagoon side sit at opposite ends of this table, one bookable and one explicitly not. If Capt Andersons is the plan, the plan includes arriving early and waiting, because there is no booking channel to fall back on.

The independent coffee shop we said did not exist

This project once published that no independent, Panama City Beach specific coffee shop had been confirmed anywhere in its research. That negative has failed, and it is recorded as failed rather than quietly deleted.

Techspresso, 7948 Front Beach Rd 32407, is an operator-confirmed independent coffee shop that describes itself as veteran and locally owned since 2022. Its number is 850-338-9025. It is the safe name, and the correction is straightforward: an independent coffee shop exists here, and a page that says otherwise is wrong.

The Pour, 12902 Front Beach Rd 32407, is a second operator-confirmed independent, a non-profit, on 850-234-3084. One caveat travels with it and should not be dropped: its newest page activity dates to July 2024 and it publishes no hours, so its independence is confirmed while its current operation is softer. A local chamber directory carries further Panama City Beach independents beyond these two, which our research has not worked through.

The lesson generalises past coffee. Of five confident negatives of the form there is no X in this region tested on this project, three turned out to be false and two were merely undisproven. None was established. That is why this page writes no source says there is one rather than there is none, and why the West End section above says our evidence runs out rather than claiming nothing is there.

One thing this correction does not license. A well-known independent coffee roaster on the mainland belongs to the City of Panama City and must never be cross-listed onto a Panama City Beach page. Different municipality, different roster — the same scope rule that governs the whole of this guide.

Name and cuisine only — three venues we can describe and nothing more

Three Open Sands venues sit at an evidentiary level worth naming explicitly, because a reader deserves to know the difference between a recommendation and a name on a marketing page. For each of these, a tourism-board region page gives a name and a concept. It gives no address, no phone number, no hours and no closure day. Nothing further has ever been confirmed.

Indigo Bar and Grill is poolside at a Holiday Inn Express and Suites, with Gulf views and live entertainment. It is a hotel restaurant, and whether non-guests may dine there is unverified — which is the single fact a visitor most needs before driving to it.

Barefoot Hideaway Grill is adjacent to Beachbreak by the Sea and serves food and drinks for room delivery or patio dining. Those two service modes are what the source supports: not a dining room, and not table service beyond the patio.

The Wicked Wheel Bar and Grill is car and motorcycle themed, serving southern comfort food. A separate unresolved question hangs over it: two different region directories list the name, one of them under a ZIP belonging to a different sub-region, so whether this is one business double-filed or genuinely two locations is unsettled and is not answered here.

None of the three is being withheld out of caution about quality. They may well be good. What is missing is every operational fact that would let you get to one at a time it is serving.

Seasonal, unresolved, and closed for renovation

Four venues need a warning louder than a table cell, and this section is the one to read before anybody gets in a car.

Sharkys Beachfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar, 15201 Front Beach Rd 32413, is a seasonal operation. The tourism boards own beach-bars page describes it as opened seasonally, and it is the only venue on that page carrying a seasonal qualifier — the distinction is the tourism boards, not ours. The dates are unknown. Not approximately known, not known within a month: no open date and no close date exists on any source we have read, including all three of the operators own pages, which publish no hours and no season at all. That is graded as a blocking item and the reason is concrete. A family that drives out for the confirmed kids menu and finds a locked gate has been failed by a page that named the venue without naming the season. Ring 850-235-2420 before you go, and treat everything else about it as conditional on that call. A kids-eat-free offer for guests of three named resort properties is on its own front page with the lodging condition on the face of it; what proof is required and whether it is still running is not on that page, so it is not a promise this guide passes on. The superlative tiki claim, the pirate ship playground and the live entertainment schedule were on none of the pages we opened and none is repeated here.

Boars Head Restaurant and Tavern, 17290 Front Beach Rd 32413, is unresolved, and the shape of the uncertainty matters. There is no permanent-closure signal. The banner that once supplied one came from a review aggregator that is blocked by its own robots file, cannot be fetched by anybody, and was therefore never a citation; it has been struck from our record and may not be reinstated. What actually exists is an operator-run page giving the address and 850-234-6628 and saying it is open year round, whose most recent dated content is from 27 June 2018, and one aggregator listing showing closed now with a Monday-closed pattern, which may mean nothing more than a weekly Monday closure. That is one eight-year-stale operator claim and one aggregator-grade weekly reading. The status is unresolved for want of a current source, not because two strong readings disagree. This page does not list it as open and does not declare it closed, and no closure date is published anywhere, because no source states one.

Gratify, at Carillon Market Street in the West End, is closed for renovation. The directory that names it is the same source that flags it shut, and the listing itself could not be re-read on the last attempt — which hardens the instruction rather than softening it. No reopening date is confirmed, and until one is, the name does not run as an open business.

Rockit Lanes, which carries a sports bar alongside bowling and skating, contradicts our own record. Our fact base states that no hours are held for it and that none may be inferred, and that the instruction to call ahead is the operators own. The operators own venue page publishes hours outright and instructs nobody to call. Neither reading is adopted here, no hours for it are printed, and its number is 850-249-2695. A venue that closes at 2 a.m. and a venue whose hours are unknown are materially different things to a reader planning a late evening, which is exactly why the contradiction is recorded rather than resolved by picking the half that reads better.

Kids and families

A kids menu is explicitly confirmed at exactly two venues: Runaway Island and Sharkys. Everywhere else, no mention was found — and the absence of a mention in a source is evidence that our research did not find one, not evidence that a restaurant has no kids menu. That distinction runs in both directions and this page does not convert one into the other.

The genuinely useful family fact is a different one. Pineapple Willys and Harpoon Harrys both take walk-ins directly off the sand on the Gulf side, so nobody has to dry off, change and drive. That is usually what a parent is actually shopping for, and it is better documented than any kids-menu list. For a mixed group that cannot agree, Pier Park solves it structurally rather than by anybody compromising, and the counter-service cluster there is the fast option — with the standing caveat that no tenant hour has ever been verified.

Sharkys is the venue families are most often steered towards, and it is also the one carrying the seasonal warning above. Read that section before building a day around it.

Accessibility

This is the largest single documentation gap in Panama City Beach dining and it should be stated without softening. Not one of the twelve operator sites read across our research published any ramp, entrance or restroom accessibility detail. Not one. Even a generic accessibility footer that our fact base attributes to one venue could not be located on the pages that loaded, so it carries no source.

Two consequences. Ramp, entrance and restroom accessibility must be confirmed venue by venue by phone, every time, and this guide does not publish a step-free claim for any restaurant on this coast. And accessibility must never be inferred from a description of a location. A boardwalk is not a ramp and beachfront is not step-free. A reader who plans a wheelchair-accessible dinner on the strength of the word beachfront arrives at a step.

Cost

Price information is thin and no gap here is filled with an invented number. Not one venue on this page has a sourced price range, a per-oyster price or a confirmed menu price. A weekend lunch special exists at Runaway Island on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the dollar figure that circulates alongside it was not legible on the operators page and is not printed. A promotion is the most perishable thing in any dining research, and a 2026 price is not established by a figure somebody wrote down once.

The best-documented low-cost options are named on documentation rather than on a price point: Thomas Donut and Snack Shop, seven days 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Pier Park quick-service cluster. No price is published for any of them.

What can go wrong

• Driving to the beachfront tiki venue off season. It is seasonal and nobody publishes the season. Call 850-235-2420 first, every time.
• Planning a Sunday dinner at the flagship seafood house. It is closed Sunday, takes no reservations at all, and has one unnamed closed month a year on top of that.
• Treating the 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekday hours that circulate for that same venue as dining hours. They are its office hours, and the operator says so itself.
• Booking the aquarium dining room as a beachfront anniversary dinner. It is on an inland connector, it is a short drive from the sand, and it is not walkable from the beach.
• Reading the shopping-centre hours as restaurant hours. Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. is the retail core. Restaurants there generally run longer, and not one has been verified.
• Packing no umbrella because somebody called it a mall. It is an open-air lifestyle centre with awnings between storefronts, and there is no enclosed mall in Panama City Beach at all. Awnings are not indoors.
• Assuming nothing serves after 10 p.m. Two venues publish an 11 p.m. or later close on their own sites, one of them on all seven days.
• Assuming everything serves after 10 p.m. because of the line above. Both of those venues carry Middle Beach addresses, and the latest close confirmed among the Open Sands venues is 10 p.m.
• Treating a business-association directory listing as an operating status. That is exactly how this project once carried a venue forward as open, and that case is still unresolved.
• Trusting a review-aggregator closed banner. The aggregator in question is blocked by its own robots file and cannot be fetched by anybody, so the banner was never evidence and never a citation.
• Believing there is no independent coffee shop here. There is at least one, operator-confirmed, and this page corrects its own earlier claim.
• Assuming a venue with no kids-menu mention has no kids menu, or that one with no accessibility statement has no ramp. Neither follows. Both need a phone call.

Instead of the unresolved Front Beach Road tavern: Shuckums and Dustys Oyster Bar both publish daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on their own sites, and both are on the same road.

Instead of a fine-dining room whose hours nobody publishes: Saltwater Grill books through OpenTable and publishes hours for all seven days, on the understanding that it is inland rather than beachfront.

Instead of any name from the Thomas Drive corridor list: everything in the occasion matrix above carries a tier, and every tier (a) row rests on a page we opened and read.

A suggested plan

A first evening that cannot fail: Harpoon Harrys or Pineapple Willys straight off the sand, both Gulf side, both walk-in, both with operator-published daily hours. Neither requires a booking, a season or a phone call.

A marina evening: Capt Andersons Monday to Saturday, arriving as close to the 4 p.m. opening as you can manage because there is no reservation to hold, or The Grand Marlin if you want a table you can book. Not Sunday at the first of those, ever.

A group day at Pier Park: park once, walk the Boardwalk, and let the party split across a steakhouse, a hibachi room, barbecue and three seafood options without anybody being outvoted. Ring 850-236-9962 for the hours of the specific restaurant you want, because the centre hours are not the restaurant hours.

A late evening: Saltwater Grill, which closes at 11 p.m. or later on every day of the week and runs to 1 a.m. on Friday. It is a drive from the beach, not a walk.

A sunset: Schooners, for the cannon at sunset, arriving well before it. Plan the rest of the evening elsewhere, because this guide cannot tell you when it closes.

A morning: Andys Flour Power for breakfast from 7 a.m., or a weekend brunch there with live jazz from 9 a.m., or Thomas Donut and Snack Shop from 6 a.m. if you want to be on the sand early. Techspresso for coffee that is not a chain.

Sources deliberately not used. One major review aggregator is blocked by its own robots file, cannot be fetched at all, and is uncitable by construction. Every claim that once rested on it has been re-anchored on an operator source or dropped, including a closure banner that had been described as the strongest single signal for a venue whose status is still open. A URL constructed by guessing a sites pattern is not a citation here even when it looks right.
