Two Guarded Days on 30A: A Family Plan Built Only on the Beaches South Walton Documents as Staffed

This plan does one thing and does it deliberately: it keeps a family on the beach access points South Walton actually documents as staffed, inside the hours it documents them as staffed, and it says out loud what it does not know about everywhere else. Guarded coverage in our fact base exists at Regional Beach Accesses and nowhere else. No Neighborhood Beach Access anywhere in Walton County is documented as guarded, no state park beach is, and no private community beach is — and none of those is documented as unguarded either, which is a separate fact and just as important. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence and it is equally not evidence of presence.
Two days, four beach blocks, and every one of them anchored to the county's own Beach Access Selection Chart for the address, the charted parking count and the restrooms, and to the fire district material for the staffed window. The plan also carries the region's free beach-wheelchair programme, which is the most concretely documented mobility accommodation anywhere in South Walton, and the single access where a mat across the sand is confirmed. If somebody in your party uses a chair, read the accessibility section before the schedule.
What this plan will not do: put a clock on any journey. No road distance and no drive time between any two points in South Walton exists in our fact base. Both days below are sequenced by the staffed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. window and by published opening hours, not by travel, and either day can be reordered without breaking anything except the hours printed beside each stop.
Day 1: Ed Walline, and the only mat across the sand anybody has documented
Beach safety on this coast belongs to the South Walton Fire District, an independent special district with its own elected board and its own state charter. It is not a county department, and it is not a city department, because there is no incorporated city anywhere on 30A. Visit South Walton names the guarded beach access locations as Miramar Beach, Dune Allen and Fort Panic, Ed Walline, Gulfview Heights, Blue Mountain, Santa Clara, Inlet Beach, and Seagrove and Van Ness Butler. For the 2026 season, the fire district material in our sources records coverage running 1 March to 31 October, staffed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Four conditions travel with that, all of them load-bearing. It is a 2026-season record and it does not inherit into a later year. It is meaningful only attached to those named locations. It is never a general statement that lifeguards are on duty on South Walton beaches. And the sourcing behind it is weaker than the fact deserves — our fact base cannot say which of its two sources carried which part of the schedule, so ring the district on (850) 267-1298 before you build a swimming day on the hours. One further limit that matters on the ground: the guarded list names Inlet Beach once, while three separate Inlet Beach access points sit on the same street, and nothing tells us which of them carries a staffed tower. That is why this plan does not send you to one.
4447 W. Co Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach. Walton County's own Beach Access Selection Chart records 39 parking spaces, restrooms, an ADA-compatible access and a vendor zone. Locally the access is often called Gulf Place. It is on the named guarded list, and it is the only access anywhere in our fact base where a wheelchair-friendly mat of the Mobi-Mat type across the sand is documented. Arrive with the staffed window in mind rather than the parking count: 39 spaces is a documented capacity, and our fact base holds no occupancy or fill-time data for this or any other access on this coast, in any season.
The South Walton Fire District provides sand-traversing beach wheelchairs at no cost, 1 March to 31 October, available 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at specific staffed towers — the locations documented in our sources include Miramar Beach, Ed Walline, Santa Clara and Inlet Beach. We do not print the tower numbers, because our sources record the same tower number against two different accesses and the numbering does not reconcile with the stated number of towers in service. On whether you can reserve one, both directions are closed and we are saying so rather than picking: our fact base records no advance-reservation process and it does not establish that none exists. One research pass described distribution as appearing to be first come, first served, and appearing to be is an impression rather than a published policy, so it does not publish as one here. If a chair is the reason the trip works, ring the district on (850) 267-1298 first and ask directly.
The district flies five flags: green for low hazard, yellow for medium, red for high, double red for water closed to the public, and purple for marine pests, which can fly alongside another colour rather than replacing it. One colour flies county-wide, and it reflects the most dangerous conditions found anywhere in the county — so the flag above your head can be more severe than the water in front of you looks, and the district warns in terms that a dangerous rip current can be present with no visible surface indication. Do not talk a child into the water because the surf looks calm where you are standing. Flags are posted at the beach access points, and Visit South Walton states you can text SAFETY to 31279 for real-time Gulf conditions and flag-status updates, with standard message and data rates applying. Double red is not advice: entering the Gulf under double red flags carries a $500 fine under Walton County Ordinance 2025-22, an amendment to the Waterways and Beach Activities Ordinance adopted 24 November 2025 and effective immediately. For forecasting rather than the pole, the operational rip-current products for this coast are the National Weather Service Tallahassee Surf Zone Forecast and its Beach Hazards Statements — the office also publishes an interactive beach page that it labels itself experimental and marks under development, so read it as the beta product its own publisher says it is. For water quality, the Florida Department of Health's Healthy Beaches programme sets statewide thresholds of good at 0 to 35 CFU per 100 mL, moderate at 36 to 70 and poor at 71 or above, with an advisory issued when a sample exceeds 70 and a resample confirms it, and DOH-Walton publishes dated bi-weekly results for Walton County sites. Read the live page, never a result somebody quoted. For red tide, use the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's current-status map.
2217 West County Hwy 30A, Blue Mountain Beach. Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Sunday, on its own site; phone (850) 267-0558. An organic grocery and juice bar rather than a sit-down restaurant, which suits a beach day with children better than a table does. This is the one clean, operator-sourced weekly closed day in our entire Region C fact base, so it is the only day-of-week hinge in this plan — if Day 1 is a Sunday, take the substitutes in the Day 2 midday block instead, or run the two days in the other order.
2365 S. Co Hwy 83, Santa Rosa Beach. The county chart records 20 spaces, restrooms and a vendor zone, and Blue Mountain is on the named guarded list. Twenty is the smallest charted capacity of any access in this plan and it is worth being plain about what that number is: it is what the county charts, and it is not a statement that a space is free when you arrive. If the alternative suits you better, Dune Allen and Ft. Panic (#43) at 5753 W. Co Hwy 30A is also on the guarded list, with 27 charted spaces, restrooms and an ADA-compatible access — noting that a commercial publisher gives a different space count for that one and we publish the county's rather than splitting the difference.
Two options, both with hours an operator put on its own site. Stinky's Fish Camp, 5960 W County Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach: Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., phone (850) 267-3053, with a Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. listed separately by the county's tourism publisher. Or Bud & Alley's in Seaside, 2236 E County Rd 30-A: restaurant daily 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., roof deck bar daily 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., reservations through Toast Tab, phone (850) 231-5900. Neither publishes a weekly closure day on its own site, and that is a fact about our sources rather than a guarantee about the restaurants. If you eat in Seaside, read the parking note in the Day 2 logistics block first — Seaside is not gated and its parking is where a family loses money.
No road distance and no drive time is given between any two stops, today or tomorrow. Neither exists in our fact base and estimating one is not available to us. Parking today is the county-charted capacity at the two accesses above. County-wide, a vehicle left in a Walton County Municipal Parking Lot between midnight and 5 a.m. faces a $500 fine, rising to $750 if unpaid within 30 days, enforced by licence-plate-reader camera — reported as aimed at short-term-rental guests using the lots as overflow. We do not publish the county parking rates; every figure our sources hold comes from coverage of a rollout days old at the time of writing, and the instruction attached to it is to verify at parkwaltonco.org first. If you have a dog with you, read the dog tip below before you take a leash out of the car.
Day 2: Gulfview Heights and Santa Clara, with a shaded non-beach afternoon that is not a beach
Two locations, two different schedules, and they must never be read off each other. Seaside, 2311 E County Hwy 30A, daily 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., phone (850) 738-6771. Grayton Beach, 26 Logan Lane Unit G, daily 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., phone (850) 213-4528. The Grayton Beach location closes four hours earlier. Both take online orders through Toast Tab, which is ordering rather than a reservation system even though the same vendor name appears on reservation rows elsewhere in the region. The alternative with operator-published hours is Modica Market, 109 Seaside Central Square, daily 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the same hours year-round on its own site — a grocery with prepared foods rather than a restaurant, which is exactly what a beach morning wants.
186 Gulfview Heights St., Santa Rosa Beach. The county chart records 22 spaces, restrooms, an ADA-compatible access and a vendor zone, and Gulfview Heights is on the named guarded list. Twenty-two charted spaces is small; treat the count as a capacity and not a forecast.
3468 E. Co Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach. The county chart records 30 spaces plus 30 more on the north side, restrooms and a vendor zone. Santa Clara is on the named guarded list and it is one of the staffed locations where the free beach-wheelchair programme is documented, which makes it the strongest second choice in this plan for a party with a mobility need. If the mat is what you need rather than a chair, Ed Walline is still the only access where one is confirmed.
Check the flag at the access and remember it is a county-wide colour reflecting the worst conditions found anywhere in the county, not a local reading of local water. Check the National Weather Service Tallahassee Surf Zone Forecast and any Beach Hazards Statement. Check the live DOH-Walton bi-weekly results page rather than any result somebody has quoted, and the Fish and Wildlife red tide current-status map. Nothing about yesterday's flag, yesterday's sample or yesterday's forecast tells you anything about today, and this plan carries no reading of any of them forward.
For The Health Of It in Blue Mountain Beach is Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sunday, phone (850) 267-0558. On a Sunday, the two stops in our fact base with operator-published daily hours are Modica Market in Seaside, daily 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. year-round, and Great Southern Café at 83 Central Square in Seaside, whose own FAQ states it is open 365 days a year from 8 a.m. We do not print a closing time for Great Southern Café: the operator's own words are until at least 9:30 p.m., which is a floor rather than a close, and converting one into the other would send a family away from a door that was still open. We also do not print a phone number for it, because the one number our sources carry for it is given by another research pass as the contact for a different Seaside business, and nobody has rung it to find out which is right.
This is the right afternoon for heat, for a red flag day, or for a child who has had enough sand. Eden Gardens State Park sits in the Point Washington community on Tucker Bayou off Choctawhatchee Bay — the bay side, inland, and not a Gulf beach, which matters because a family filed onto a bayou expecting the Gulf has been badly served. It is Florida DEP ground, so the rules inside its gate are the park's own and no Walton County rule carries in there. The Wesley House is a restored 1897 mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Places and on the Florida Women's Heritage Trail, with live oaks in Spanish moss, a rose garden and a nature trail on the grounds. Friends of Eden Gardens, the partner nonprofit, records hourly guided tours of the house Thursday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as our research read that page on 26 July 2026. Note the days: tours are not recorded on Tuesday or Wednesday. What we cannot tell you is the entry fee, the tour price or the street address — the fee and the address trace to a domain that has refused this project on every attempt it has ever made, and the only figure our sources carry for the tour is the words a nominal fee, which is a characterisation and not a price. Ring the park before you build the afternoon on it.
10952 E County Hwy 30A, Inlet Beach. Daily 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on its own site, no reservations, first come first served, described by the operator as built to handle large volumes and crowds, phone (850) 231-9410. For a family that cannot predict when it will be hungry, an operator-published all-day window and a no-reservations policy is a better fit than a booking. Its operator-published fee terms as our research read them on 26 July 2026: a 20 percent gratuity for parties of eight or more and for tables with unaccompanied minors, a 3 percent non-cash card fee, a 20 percent gratuity on all to-go orders, and no Apple Pay or tap-to-pay — bring a card you can swipe. One caution about the address rather than the restaurant: Inlet Beach straddles the Walton and Bay county line and our fact base cannot tell you which side any individual Inlet Beach address falls on.
Again, no distance and no drive time. If either day takes you into Seaside for food, know how its parking works before you arrive. Seaside is an unincorporated master-planned community, not gated at the community level, and its Amphitheater, Central Square and shops are privately owned common space open to visitors rather than county-operated. It is reinstating managed paid parking with paid zones centred on Smolian Circle and payment by text-to-pay, QR code or the Passport Parking app, plus a free shuttle from a satellite lot on Hwy 331 S just past the Sanctuary at 331 to the Lyceum Archway. Vacation-rental guests receive parking passes for their stay. We publish no start date, no rate card and no shuttle hours, because the operator's own announcement gives two different years for the start of the programme and a source that contradicts itself on one of its dates is weakened as to all of them. Separately, our sources record Seaside's own beach walkovers as narrow neighbourhood access points with no parking and towing enforcement of non-residents — that detail rests on a 30A real-estate blog rather than an authority, and it is not the kind of thing worth testing.

Tips
- Guarded means the named list and nothing else. Miramar Beach, Dune Allen and Fort Panic, Ed Walline, Gulfview Heights, Blue Mountain, Santa Clara, Inlet Beach, and Seagrove and Van Ness Butler — for the 2026 season, 1 March to 31 October, staffed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A Neighborhood Beach Access, a state park beach and a private community beach are all outside that list, and none of them is documented as unguarded either.
- The flag is a county reading, not a local one. One colour flies county-wide and it reflects the most dangerous conditions found anywhere in the county. A dangerous rip current can be present with no visible surface indication, which is exactly why the flag is not something to overrule by looking at the water.
- Double red flags close the water by ordinance. Entering the Gulf under them carries a $500 fine under Walton County Ordinance 2025-22, adopted 24 November 2025. Plan the alternative before the day arrives rather than during it.
- Ed Walline is the only access with a documented mat. Several others are marked ADA compatible in the county chart, and that is a different claim — a compliant boardwalk gets a chair to the top of the dune, and a mat is what gets it across the soft sand.
- If your child rides a bicycle here, Florida law applies rather than any county rule. Florida Statute 316.2065 requires riders and passengers under 16 to wear a properly fitted helmet meeting the federal safety standard, and between sunset and sunrise requires a front lamp showing white light visible from at least 500 feet plus both a rear lamp and a reflector, each showing red visible from at least 600 feet. A first lighting violation can be dismissed if the rider buys compliant equipment. Nothing in our fact base records whether any rental operator here supplies lamps.
- A dog and a vacation rental do not combine on this beach. Dogs are allowed on county-maintained beach only if owned by a Walton County real property owner or permanent resident holding a permit, and permitted dogs are confined to the beach only between 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. That is an eligibility rule and a visiting owner cannot satisfy it, whatever a rental listing says about being pet-friendly. The instrument is Chapter 22, section 22-31, as amended by Ordinance 2025-22, adopted 24 November 2025.
- Do not plan on a Neighborhood Beach Access. Our sources are explicit that nothing in the fact base documents parking, restrooms, showers or a lifeguard at any individual one of them, and the rule cuts both ways — that most have little parking is not a finding about any particular one.
- The county charts spaces, not availability. Every parking count in this plan is a documented capacity from Walton County's own Beach Access Selection Chart, and our fact base holds no occupancy or fill-time data for any access on this coast in any season.
Who this fits — and who it does not
Fits: families with children who need a staffed beach and want to know exactly which beaches those are; parties travelling with someone who uses a wheelchair, because this is the plan built around the free chair programme and the one confirmed mat; and anyone who would rather have four beach blocks they can verify than a week of blocks they cannot.
Does not fit: a family that wants a different beach every day across the whole corridor, because the guarded list is the whole list and this plan does not stray off it. Does not fit anyone who needs the beach after 6 p.m. with cover present — the documented staffed window ends there. Does not fit a party travelling outside 1 March to 31 October, because the season our sources document ends on that date and what happens outside it is genuinely unresolved: our sources note that some limited roving coverage may occur off-season without detail, and we will not tell you it exists and will not tell you it does not. And it does not fit anyone bringing a dog to the beach in daylight.

Each of these is a property of the source material rather than an editorial preference.
- Travel by car, both days. Nothing in our fact base records a fixed-route public transit service reaching the 30A neighbourhoods, and we do not state that none exists.
- Travel between 1 March and 31 October 2026, because that is the season our sources document for both the guarded coverage and the beach-wheelchair programme, and both records are year-stamped.
- Beach blocks fall inside 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the staffed window our sources record for the 2026 season, and chair collection inside 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the window recorded for the wheelchair programme.
- No drive time and no road distance appears anywhere in this plan, because neither exists in our fact base for any pair of points in Region C.
- Every opening hour below is what one operator published on one date, read on 26 July 2026 and not re-read since.
- The two days are interchangeable. The only day-of-week constraint is that For The Health Of It is closed on Sunday and the Wesley House tours are recorded Thursday through Monday.

Every row below is on the guarded list Visit South Walton names, and every address, parking count and restroom entry comes from Walton County's own Beach Access Selection Chart. Nothing here is a shower claim: our sources record that the chart as fetched does not break out shower and boardwalk data access by access, so we do not write that any of these has an outdoor shower and we do not write that any of them has none.

A charted space count is a documented capacity and not a statement that a space exists at 10 a.m. in July. Our fact base holds no occupancy, fill-time or overflow data for any access on this coast. No count of Regional Beach Accesses and no count of guarded locations publishes anywhere on this site: our sources give figures that do not reconcile with their own lists.
What we could not sequence, and why
An itinerary asserts that these things can be done in this order, in one day, by one party. Where the fact base does not support that assertion, this plan does not make it, and here is every point at which that bit.
No journey is timed or measured. No drive time and no road distance between any two Region C points exists in our fact base, and the rule against estimating either is categorical rather than a matter of source quality.
No beach block is placed at a state park. Grayton Beach, Topsail Hill Preserve and Deer Lake are Florida state parks whose fee, hours and address all trace to a domain that has returned HTTP 403 to this project on ten distinct URLs across three research sections — so we cannot tell a family what it costs to drive in or when the gate opens, and a family day is exactly the kind of plan that fails on an unexpected gate fee. Deer Lake is separately excluded because it was reported closed on 21 July 2026 after a tropical storm on a page nobody here can read, and we say neither that it is open nor that it is closed.
No block promises a shower. Our sources record that the county chart as fetched carries no per-access shower or boardwalk field, and a general description of the Regional Beach Access product as a category is not an inventory of any particular access.
No block sends a family to a named Inlet Beach access on the strength of the guarded list. The list names Inlet Beach once and three separate access points sit on the same street.
No block routes into Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, WaterColor or WaterSound. Those communities restrict access, each differently, and our fact base cannot say whether a non-guest may drive in — so it cannot sequence a family to a door it cannot show them they can open. It does not say they cannot, either.
No indoor fallback is offered beyond what we can name. Our sources contain a research pass that did not find a cinema, a bowling alley, a water park or an indoor play facility in Walton County. That is a statement about a research pass, not about the county, and this project has tested five claims of that shape: three were false and two merely undisproven. So the honest sentence is that our fact base records none of those in Walton County, and nothing stronger.
Accessibility notes
This is the strongest-documented part of the plan and also where the gaps are most consequential, so both are set out plainly.
What is documented. The South Walton Fire District provides sand-traversing beach wheelchairs at no cost, 1 March to 31 October, available 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at specific staffed towers including Miramar Beach, Ed Walline, Santa Clara and Inlet Beach. A wheelchair-friendly mat of the Mobi-Mat type across the sand is documented at Ed Walline and at no other access in our fact base. Miramar Beach, Dune Allen, Gulfview Heights and Inlet Beach Central are marked ADA compatible in the county's own chart.
What is not documented, and what to do about it. ADA compatible and has a beach mat are different claims and this plan never lets one stand in for the other. Tower numbers do not publish, because one number is recorded against two different accesses. Whether a chair can be reserved in advance is unresolved in both directions and turning up at 4 p.m. on an assumption is the failure mode to avoid. And not one restaurant named in this plan publishes step-free entrance, accessible restroom or accessible parking detail anywhere in our sources — our sources say so in terms and add that it must not be inferred from beachfront or boardwalk language in a listing. Ring ahead if it is a hard requirement, and ring the fire district on (850) 267-1298 about the chair.

Nobody on this project has stood at any access, tower or gate named here, and every gap the fact base flagged as unconfirmed is carried forward rather than filled in. Our research verified that its source URLs answered; it did not re-read the pages behind them, and a 200 response is not corroboration.

Which South Walton beaches actually have lifeguards?
Coverage documented in our fact base exists at Regional Beach Accesses and nowhere else. Visit South Walton names them as Miramar Beach, Dune Allen and Fort Panic, Ed Walline, Gulfview Heights, Blue Mountain, Santa Clara, Inlet Beach, and Seagrove and Van Ness Butler, and for the 2026 season our sources record coverage from 1 March to 31 October, staffed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. We do not publish a count of them, because our sources describe the list one way and then print a list that does not match the description. And the limits matter as much as the list: no Neighborhood Beach Access, no state park beach and no private community beach is documented as guarded, and none of them is documented as unguarded either.
Can we borrow a beach wheelchair, and can we book one?
The South Walton Fire District provides sand-traversing beach wheelchairs at no cost, 1 March to 31 October, available 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at specific staffed towers including Miramar Beach, Ed Walline, Santa Clara and Inlet Beach. On booking, our fact base records no advance-reservation process and it does not establish that none exists, so we will not tell you to turn up and take your chances and we will not tell you to reserve. Ring the district on (850) 267-1298 and ask. One research pass described distribution as appearing to be first come, first served, which is an impression rather than a policy and is not published here as one.
Which beach is best if someone in our party uses a wheelchair?
Ed Walline Regional Beach Access, 4447 W. Co Hwy 30A. It is on the guarded list, the county chart records it as ADA-compatible with restrooms, and it is the only access anywhere in our fact base where a wheelchair-friendly mat across the sand is documented. Santa Clara is the strongest second choice because it is also a documented location for the free chair programme. Be clear about the difference between the two claims: an ADA-compliant boardwalk or ramp gets a chair to the top of the dune, and a mat is what gets it across soft sand. Several accesses are marked ADA compatible in the county chart; only one has a documented mat.
What happens on a double red flag day?
The water is closed to the public, and it is closed by ordinance rather than by advice. Entering the Gulf under double red flags carries a $500 fine under Walton County Ordinance 2025-22, an amendment to the Waterways and Beach Activities Ordinance adopted 24 November 2025. Plan the alternative in advance: the Wesley House tours at Eden Gardens State Park run Thursday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. per the partner nonprofit that publishes the schedule, and the two indoor rooms in Walton County with operator-published hours in our fact base are Modica Market in Seaside, daily 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. year-round, and For The Health Of It in Blue Mountain Beach, Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sunday. Beyond those we say what we can name and say plainly what we cannot.
Is there a lifeguard at the neighbourhood access near our rental?
We do not know, and neither does anything in our fact base. The smaller numbered Neighborhood Beach Accesses are the majority of the county inventory and nothing in our sources documents parking, restrooms, showers or a lifeguard at any individual one of them. The instruction we work to is the county's own: do not assume any specific Neighborhood Beach Access has any of those unless it has been confirmed for that access by name against the current Walton County Beach Access Selection Chart. That cuts in both directions — we are not telling you there is no lifeguard there either.
Can the kids ride bikes between the beach and the rental?
Florida law governs, and it is state law rather than a county rule. Florida Statute 316.2065 requires riders and passengers under 16 to wear a properly fitted helmet meeting the federal safety standard at 16 CFR Part 1203. Between sunset and sunrise a bicycle must carry a front lamp showing white light visible from at least 500 feet, and both a rear lamp and a reflector, each showing red light visible from at least 600 feet — both, not either. A first lighting violation can be dismissed if the rider buys compliant equipment. Nothing in our fact base records whether any rental operator on this corridor supplies lamps with an evening rental, so check when you hire. The Timpoochee Trail is the paved shared-use path along the corridor and is free to ride, but we publish no length for it and no distance between any two points on it, so we cannot tell you how far any ride would be.
It is October. Will the beach still be staffed?
The season our sources document for 2026 runs 1 March to 31 October, staffed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the named Regional Beach Accesses. Outside that window, our fact base is genuinely unresolved and we will not resolve it for you: the district's own safety material is described as noting that some limited roving coverage may occur off-season, without details, and nobody has confirmed what that means. So we do not tell you off-season coverage exists and we do not tell you it does not.
